Discourse On Judge's Salaries To Increase, Prabowo: If You Need A TNI-Polri Budget I Reduce

President Prabowo Subianto is ready to reduce the TNI and Polri budget in order to increase the judges' salaries and prevent judges from being bribed by corruptors when the case is tried.

President Prabowo considered that the State needed judges who were objective, did not waver, and could not be bought by money from corruptors who wanted to be free from punishment.

"If I need another budget, I will reduce it. Here there is the TNI Commander and there is the National Police Chief, if necessary I will reduce the TNI and Polri budget. It's useless for us to have a great police officer, a great soldier. The corruptor, the thief, once the court passes. In fact, Prabowo also received reports that there were judges who were still renting a house and did not have an official residence.

"We have ordered housing, hopefully, it will be carried out on a large scale, we will build housing (for judges) and I think I'll just go straight away," Prabowo said to a lively applause by the judges.

In that remarks, President Prabowo Subianto announced the increase in judges' salaries throughout Indonesia with varying increases in order to provide judges' welfare.

The highest salary increase reached 280 percent of the current salary intended for the juniorst group.
