Gemini Can Now Schedule Automatic Tasks, But Only Paid Users
JAKARTA - Google officially launched a new feature in the Gemini app that allows users to schedule tasks automatically. This feature is called scheduled actions'' and is becoming available today to certain users. This feature was previously revealed through the decomposition of the app code some time ago, and has now finally started to roll out widely.
Scheduled actions allow users to set up commands Gemini will run at a certain time, such as on specific days and hours, or after an event occurs. With this capability, users can automate a variety of routine tasks.
For example, users can arrange for Gemini to provide a summary of the calendar and unreadable emails every morning, or every Monday make five ideas for their blogs. This feature can also be used for things that are one-time in nature, such as requesting a summary of award events the day after the event takes place.

Google says users can also turn the prompt they usually use into a regular recurrent command. In addition, all scheduled tasks can be managed via a new settings page in the Gemini app.
Unfortunately, not all users can enjoy this feature. Scheduled actions are only available for customers who use Google AI Pro and Ultra subscription packages, as well as certain business and educational versions of Google Workspace users who meet the requirements. There is no certainty whether this feature will be available to users at the free level, because until now Google has not provided an official confirmation about this.
With the presence of the scheduled actions feature, Google is strengthening Gemini's position as an AI assistant who is getting smarter and able to support user productivity through smart automation. However, the limited access to this feature shows that Google still retains some exclusive capabilities for paid users.
