Supporting The Government's Homecoming Prohibition Program, Shinta Priwit Releases Kangen Kutho Solo
JAKARTA - Musician Shinta Priwit released a new single titled Kangen Kutho Solo on May 2 yesterday. This song with Javanese lyrics is a form of Shinta Priwit's support for the homecoming prohibition program echoed by the government.
This song was deliberately released before the Eid Al-Fitr. Apart from supporting the government regarding the ban on going home so that the number of COVID-19 cases does not increase, Shinta Priwit also wants to encourage migrants who feel longing for their hometown.
"This song tells the story of someone's longing to leave the city of Solo, and her deepest longing turns out to be for her grandmother, the atmosphere of the city of Solo and also the culinary delights," said Shinta Priwit in an official statement received by VOI.
The song and lyrics of Kangen Kutho Solo were created by Shinta Priwit, but to translate it into more refined Javanese, Shinta was assisted by Om Bambang Winarto (her uncle), Aishayuta (her best friend), and Yustina (her cousin).
