Bring Metal Detector And Scopy, 3 People Who Want To Steal Antiquities In Muarajambi Cultural Conservation Arrested

Jambi - Muaro Jambi Police thwarted an attempt to steal antiques in the Muarajambi National Cultural Heritage Area (KCBN) by three perpetrators.

The perpetrators took action around the Village Temple, Muaro Jambi Village, Maro Sebo District, Muaro Jambi, Jambi.

"The three perpetrators were arrested by the Maro Sabo Police Detective Unit in the early hours of Wednesday, while searching for antiques," said Muaro Jambi Police Chief AKBP Heri Supriawan as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 4.

The three perpetrators had the initials IS, a resident of Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency and RE and SU, a resident of Muaro Jambi Regency.

The attempted theft occurred on Wednesday (4/6) at around 00.30 WIB.

Based on reports from the Cultural Preservation Center (BPK) the team was dispatched to the field and immediately arrested the perpetrators.

The three perpetrators looked for relics around the Muarajambi Temple.

The perpetrator used metal detectors and shovels during his action.

"Police officers from the Maro Sebo Police, together with the temple security, went straight to the scene and arrested the three perpetrators. Now the perpetrators are being detained at the police station for the investigation process," said the Police Chief.
