Police Summon Committee Diksar Mapala Regarding Unila Student Death
The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Lampung Regional Police summoned the Student Basic Education Committee for Environmental Lovers (Diksar Mapala) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Lampung, regarding the case of the death of student Pratama Wijaya Kusuma which was allegedly unnatural.
"Investigators will summon seniors and the Diksar Mapala committee to be questioned to determine whether there are elements of violating the law or criminal acts," said Director of Criminal Investigation at the Lampung Police, Kombes Pahala Simanjuntak, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 4.
University of Lampung (Unila) student Pratama Wijaya Kusuma is suspected of being a victim of physical violence while attending Diksar Mapala in the Gunung Betung area, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung, on November 14, 2024.
Pratama Wijaya was reported to have died on April 28, 2025.
"We have received an official report from Wirna Wani, the mother of the late Pratama Wijaya Kusuma, on Tuesday (3/6), regarding the death of her son after following the diksar in November 2024," he said.
Kombes Pahala said the Lampung Police would invite the hospital to handle the victim for the first time, including the doctor who examined or conducted a post-mortem on the victim.
Pahala explained that his party had also established communication with the University of Lampung to collect information and chronology of events.
"The campus is open to cooperating. We are currently investigating allegations of abuse in the activity and have asked for information from the victim's parents," he said.

To determine the cause of death, continued Pahala, his party will consider exhuming or dismantling the tomb for the purpose of re-autopsy of Primary's body.
"After all the information is collected, we will conduct a case title to determine whether or not there is a criminal element in this incident," he said.
