The Budget For The Office Of Echelon I Officials I Is Set At IDR 931 Million

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance has set an official vehicle procurement unit for echelon I officials amounting to Rp931,648,000 for 2026, as stated in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 32 of 2025 concerning Standard Input Fee (SBM) for Fiscal Year 2026.

Director of Budgeting Systems of the Directorate General of Budget, Ministry of Finance, Lisbon Sirait, explained that the figure had increased compared to the previous year's IDR 887,913,000.

"So we form this standard cost based on the average price, average price or real price in the market. So indeed the increase is because we consider the procurement of electric cars with predetermined specifications," explained Lisbon as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 2.

Lisbon stressed that the increase in the budget does not ignore the principle of efficiency in the management of state finances. The government continues to impose a policy of limiting the procurement of official vehicles and encourages optimization of the use of existing vehicles in each agency.

The standard cost set in PMK Number 32 of 2025 is not an instrument to control waste, but as a reference for unit costs that reflect the current market conditions.

Shopping control, according to Lisbon, is carried out through a separate procurement of goods and asset management policy.

"Not because we don't consider efficiency. Then, what are the considerations for efficiency in terms of budgeting? From the budgeting side, the government has a policy of procuring vehicles by optimizing existing vehicles. And there are even restrictions on official vehicles from the government," he said.

The PMK SBM for Fiscal Year 2026 was signed by the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati on May 14, 2025 and took effect after being promulgated on May 20, 2025.

This rule becomes a reference in the preparation of the ministry/institutional budget for 2026.

PMK 32 of 2025 emphasized that the tariff is an upper limit that cannot be exceeded.

"The Standard Input Fee for Fiscal Year 2026 which is the highest limit as referred to in Article 2 letter a is stated in Attachment I which is an inseparable part of this Ministerial Regulation," wrote the regulation in Article 3 Paragraph 1.
