Released New Teaser, Wake Up Dead Man Will Air December 12

JAKARTA - The latest film from the Knives Out franchise, Wake Up Dead Man shared his latest look through the Tudum event organized by Netflix. Daniel Craig still plays the main character, Benoit Blanc in the case he faces.

This short teaser features a number of scenes set in a church as well as new players. Benoit Blanc's figure appears and says, Impossible crime.

Josh O'Connor was seen walking towards the church, while Craig looked at it from the middle of the forest. The atmosphere changed after a case caught the attention of Craig and the people around him.

The teaser ends with O'Connor trying to stab something. Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc said, "... and I finished the murder case."

The specific plot has not been disclosed, but it is reported that this film will bring together Benoit Blanc with the most dangerous case while he is working.

Wake Up Dead Man is still written and directed by Rian Johnson who worked on his first two films. In addition, this film will be played by Kerry Washington and Josh Brolin.

A series of other actors and actresses were also announced in the teaser, namely Cailee Spaeny, Josh O'Connor, Mila Kunis, Andrew Scott, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Thomas Haden Church, total McCormack, Annie Hamilton, Kerry Frances and Marcus Edward Bond.

Josh Brolin and Josh O'Connor will play pastor, while Mila Kunis plays a police officer named G. Scott.

Several players such as Johnson, Brolin, Renner, Spaeny, Washington, McCormack and Kunis were seen attending the Tudum event to introduce their latest film.

The Knives Out franchise stole the audience's attention after its first film was a hit during theaters. Then, Rian Johnson teamed up with Netflix to make two Knives Out films.

Glass Onion, which is a continuation of the franchise, has received a strategy for screening in theaters and Netflix. It is not yet known whether a similar strategy will be applied to Wake Up Dead Man.

Meanwhile, the film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will be released on Netflix on December 12, 2025.
