Russia Shoots Falls 105 Ukrainian Drones, Including Over Moscow Region
JAKARTA - Russian authorities said on Thursday they managed to shoot down 105 Ukrainian unmanned aircraft over its airspace, including dozens of drones heading for Moscow.
Ukrainian drones are attacking the Russian-Ukraine war heating up, while major countries are discussing ways to end Europe's deadliest conflict since the Second World War.
While Russia, Ukraine, the United States, and European countries are considering the order of the possible end of the conflict for more than three years in Ukraine, the drone war continues and fighting is intensifying in some key areas on the front lines.
Russia's Defense Ministry said 105 drones had been shot down over Russian territory between midnight and early Thursday, including 35 over Moscow.
A day earlier, Russian authorities said they had shot down more than 300 Ukrainian drones.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said several unmanned aircraft had been shot down towards the capital, which along with the surrounding area had a population of 21 million people.
Separately, Russia's Defense Ministry said its forces advanced at key points along the front lines, and pro-Russian war bloggers said Russia had crossed Ukraine's defensive line between Pokrovsk and Kostitynivka in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine.
