Najwa Shihab's Husband Dies Due To Brain Bleeding, Recognize Symptoms

JAKARTA - Najwa Shihab's husband, Ibrahim Sjarief Assegaf, died on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Ibrahim died after suffering bleeding in the brain after a stroke.

A brain hemorrhage stroke or hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a weakened blood vessel ruptures and bleeding, both inside and on the surface of the brain. Some of these bleedings occur due to a rupture of aneurism (called subarcnoid bleeding).

This condition is very dangerous because it can interfere with blood flow and oxygen intake to the brain. This can cause permanent brain damage or even death.

There are several symptoms experienced by a person with bleeding in the brain. Starting from sudden severe headache, which is the most common symptom of a brain hemorrhage patient.

Then weakness on one side of the body, difficulty speaking or understanding, dizziness or vertigo, visual impairment, and loss of blood in more severe cases.
