Real Madrid Agrees To Dean Huijsen's Deal, Alvaro Carreras Following Meeting
JAKARTA - Real Madrid have reached a principle agreement to sign Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth for 50 million pounds.
Los Blancos have also stepped up negotiations with Benfica to also secure the arrival of full-back Alvaro Carreras ahead of the 2025 Club World Cup.
Real Madrid accelerated negotiations for Huijsen after their defeat to Barcelona and immediately received the green light from the player despite several other Premier League clubs monitoring the situation.
ESPN reports that all that remains is lawyers to give the final green light to the Spanish international to become Real Madrid's new player on a five-year contract.
After the player agreed to move, the signing was considered a formality because Real Madrid would pay his transfer clause of 50 million pounds.

The club explored the possibility to include players in the deal to lower total costs, but Bournemouth rejected the option.
Previously, in March 2025, Real Madrid had planned to make the 20-year-old defender a priority to strengthen their defense for next season.
Real Madrid almost recruited Huijsen as he played in the ranks of the young Malaga players. However, the player's family prefers to join Juventus in order to continue its development in Italian football.
After being loaned to Rome, Bournemouth signed the player permanently. The Cherries haven't even had it for a year.
Huijsen's increasing performance made him summoned to the Spanish National Team.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are working on completing the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold as soon as possible so that the Briton can arrive on time for the 2025 Club World Cup and will do the same with Huijsen.
At the same time, the club has also accelerated negotiations to recruit former full-back Carreras in a deal that will also cost around 60 million euros.
ESPN reported earlier this week that the player from Galicia was a favorite to strengthen left-back positions.
There is optimism that the La Liga giants will get all their target players. Like Alexander-Arnold and Huijsen, the idea was Carreras before the 2025 Club World Cup with manager Xabi Alonso.
Carreras has prepared a long six-year contract at Bernabeu. The 22-year-old player grew up through the Real Madrid youth system, where he played alongside Raul Asencio and other players. He was highly respected by Alonso.
