Keeping Digital Space, Komdigi Removes Hundreds Of Hazardous Content On Social Media And Millions Of Judol Content
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) shared the latest data from the Content Moderation Compliance System (SAMAN). This data includes sensitive content on social media and online gambling content (judol).
Raden Wijaya Kusumawardhana, an Expert in Social Economics and Culture, Komdigi, the institution led by Meutya Hafid, is trying to maintain the integrity and sovereignty of digital space in Indonesia.
In line with surveillance in the digital space, Komdigi has submitted hundreds of complaints to various social media platforms permitted in the country. Some of these platforms include Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others.
"We have done several things in order to keep the digital space safe and healthy," said Raden at the IDF 2025 event on Thursday, May 15. "Until April 4, there were 214 complaints. Of these, there were 198 complaints that were followed up."
Raden also explained that there are 16 complaints that are still in process today. From these data, 8 complaints were submitted to Facebook, 3 complaints were submitted to YouTube and X, and the last two complaints were submitted to Meta's Instagram platform.
To be followed up quickly, Komdigi has given a Warning Warning Letter or Takedown. This complaint data also consists of various kinds of content, ranging from gambling content, pornographic content, to child abuse content.

214 content of this complaint includes 135 judol content, 68 pornographic content, and 11 child pornography content. Only the three categories were complained about because Komdigi did not find posts of terrorism or illegal activities prohibited by the state.
Raden also revealed an increase in the number of judol content blocking. Based on data collected by Komdigi from October last year to early May, 1,355,850 judol content has been deleted on various platforms.
Around 1,222,881 judol content was removed from the website, while 132,969 judol content was removed from social media. The removal of judol content is carried out in line with Komdigi's commitment, namely to keep the digital space clean and safe.
