Vivo X200 Ultra: Hidden Camera Feature That Becomes A Game-Changer In Mobile Photography World

JAKARTA Vivo X200 Ultra officially launched in April 2025 as a flagship that puts forward photography capabilities. Vivo even calls this device a pocket camera that can call, and reviews from various parties confirm that the photo and video capabilities are truly extraordinary.

Vivo X200 Ultra is equipped with three professional-class rear cameras. The main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor (1/1.28) with a 35mm f/1.7 lens and gameball stabilization. Vivo is working with Zeiss to improve optical quality, providing lenses with a Zeiss T* layer and a GLC 2.0 glass that can significantly reduce reflection of light.

The ultra-wide camera also uses a 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor with a 14mm f/2.0 Hawk Eye lens, which is claimed to capture 181% more light than the previous version. Both the main and ultra-wide cameras are equipped with OIS (optical image stabilization), including dual-axis systems for ultra-wide.

The third camera is a 200MP telephoto lens with a Samsung Isocell HP9 sensor (1/1.4), a 85mm f/2.3 periscope lens (equivalent to 3.7\times zoom), and a 5.0 OIS level. Vivo calls it the first APO class telephoto on the phone, using six-element lens of Zeiss which can reduce color aberration. Users can also add a 200mm Zeiss converter to extend the zoom to about 8.7\times.

The sensor size is almost the same on all three cameras for primary and ultra-wide, 1/1.4 for telephotos creating consistent image results at all zoom levels. According to a review from Notebookcheck and Gizmochina, these three cameras have the same quality, so they say every camera can be the main camera.

Vivo X200 Ultra is equipped with two image processing chips: VS1 and V3+. VS1 handles initial processing, such as bokeh, HDR, and noise reduction using AI, while V3+ focuses on final processing. The combination of both results in significant image quality improvement over previous models.

Vivo embeds many shooting modes such as Humanistic Street Photography' with classic film effects at 35mm, as well as Super Moon and Starry Sky for taking pictures at night. All three cameras support up to 8K 30fps video and 4K 60fps in 10-bit Log. There is also a 4K slow-motion feature at 120fps and Dolby Vision HDR recording with dynamic ranges of up to 14 stops.

There is also a Zeiss Natural Color mode for a more natural color, although the default tends to be rather bright. Users can adjust sharpness and color according to preferences.

Vivo provides additional accessories such as physical shutter and Photography Kit buttons which include battery grip, camera control, and 67mm lens adapter. One of the additional lenses is a 2.55-time Zeiss teleconverter that converts 85mm lens to about 200mm f/2.3. Despite being made of plastic, this additional device adds important features such as tripod installation and extra battery life.
