IFW 2025 Usung Ronakultura, Sugakan Perpaduan Dinamika Kota Dan Budaya Traditional
JAKARTA - Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW) is back with a new spirit. This year, IFW 2025 carries the theme Ronakultura Jakarta, a campaign that reflects the vibrant culture in the urban landscape of Jakarta.
This campaign was officially launched at an exclusive event at the Tower ofTENtu, Jakarta, becoming the prologue for the main event which is scheduled to take place from May 28 to June 1, 2025.
The opening of the launch event was attended by various important figures from the fashion and government world. Present were Poppy Dharsono, General Chairperson of APPMI as well as IFW President, Andhika Permata from the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office, and Yuke Sri Rahayu from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia.
The theme 'Ronakultura' comes from a combination of the word 'ronak' which means vibrant and cultural' which means culture. This concept describes the spirit of Jakarta as a city that not only moves fast and is full of color, but also a space for meeting cultural heritage and a modern lifestyle.
Clothing is not only a matter of style, but also a reflection of identity and cultural roots. Through this campaign, we want to highlight Jakarta as a stage where local creativity grows and is appreciated," said Poppy Dharsono after her press conference in Jakarta recently.
According to him, Jakarta is not just a center of economic activity, but also a common ground for various cultural backgrounds that coexist in harmony. This is reflected in the wealth of wastra motifs typical of the capital city which often display natural elements such as leaves and bright colors. This nuance will be appointed by the designers in the fashion show at IFW 2025.

"We view IFW as an important event to introduce Jakarta as a city that continues to grow not only economically, but also as an epicenter of contemporary culture and lifestyle," said Andhika Permata.
Yuke Sri Rahayu added that IFW 2025 is a cross-sectoral meeting room between designers, craftsmen, and business actors, and is part of an ecosystem that supports the growth of the national creative industry.
"This event encourages collaboration that can strengthen the competitiveness of local products, expand global networks, and encourage the creation of new jobs," Yuke explained.
The launch of this campaign was also enlivened by the premiere of the IFW 2025 promotion video, a short talk show session, and the introduction of IFW 2025 icons such as Jindan, Kayla, totaling, Vebby, Dwiki, and Sophia.
