Police Arrest Two Residents Of Simeulue For Buying And Selling Online Gambling Coins, The Transaction At A Coffee Shop

JAKARTA - Two residents of Simeulue Regency, Aceh Province with the initials FN (24) and HE (43) were arrested by the police for allegedly selling betting chips (coins) for online gaming in the Higgs Domino.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit at the Simeulue Police, Muhammad Rizal, Thursday, said the two perpetrators were arrested when they were carrying out a chip buying and selling transaction in front of a coffee shop in the archipelago.

"From the hands of the perpetrators we secured Rp755 thousand and two mobile phones," said Muhammad Rizal, in Sinabang.

He said the two perpetrators were residents of Sinabang, East Simeulue District, Simeulue. It is known that FN is still a student, as a chip seller.

Meanwhile, the resident with the initials HE has the status of an entrepreneur who is a buyer of the Higgs Domino online gambling chip.

Currently, Rizal added, the perpetrators have been returned to their respective families. However, they are subjected to an obligation to report to the Simeulue Police Headquarters.

"The legal process continues, the two perpetrators are charged with Article 20 in conjunction with Article 18 in conjunction with Article 6 paragraph 1 Aceh Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning the Law of Jinayat," he also said.
