Former Minister Of Health Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih Dies In Today's Memory, May 2, 2012

JAKARTA Memories of today, 13 years ago, May 2, 2012, the former Minister of Health (Menkes), Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih passed away. Throughout Indonesia also mourned. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) also mourned.

Previously, Endang was known to reliable health researchers. This condition made President SBY appoint him as Minister of Health. The position of Minister of Health is carried out well. He tried to present extensive access to health for the poor in the form of a Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS).

Criticism of the traces and policies of President SBY's government has become commonplace. What the government's movements often invite news. This condition was present when SBY chose Endang to become Minister of Health in 2009.

Endang's presence in the United Indonesia Cabinet Volume II has been criticized by many people. Endang is predicted to be the footballs of the United States (US) because of his profession as a senior health researcher. The accusation refers to Endang's closeness to the US Navy Research Unit, Namru II.

However, Endang has repeatedly denied the accusations he meant. Endang adhered to his role as a senior health researcher. He must be able to get close and work with many parties, including Uncle Sam's country.

He also revealed that his research often benefited the two countries AS and Indonesia. Endang also continues to prove that he is able to work as a minister of health. He inflamed various kinds of policies.

Endang asked his team to continue the program planned in the department, including ordering public health insurance to be more in favor of the ordinary people. Minister Endang hopes to implement a prepaid system in this term of office.

In this system, everyone must participate in insurance with premiums that are adjusted to income. Poor people can pay a very small amount of premium. However, if they are sick, they can directly take advantage of the insurance funds collected. He died at the RSCM, Jakarta. Endang's departure made the state celebrities come to the funeral home. President SBY did not want to be left behind. Then, condolences came from everywhere.
