Water Has Not Receded! Two RTs In Pluit Are Still Submerged In The Rob Flood This Morning
The tidal flood still inundated two neighborhood units (RT) in the Pluit area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Wednesday morning, April 30, 2025. The water level was recorded at 20 to 35 centimeters.
"Until 06.00 WIB, it was recorded that two RTs were still submerged by tidal flooding," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin), Mohamad Yohan.
Meanwhile, the tidal flood, which previously submerged one RT and Jalan RE Martadinata in the Papanggo area, Tanjung Priok, was reported to have receded.
The DKI Jakarta BPBD continues to monitor inundation conditions and has deployed personnel to coordinate with related elements such as the Water Resources Service (SDA), the Highways Office, and the Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat). Water extraction efforts were made to accelerate the receding of inundation.
"BPBD also ensures that the function of the water lines goes well by involving the village head and the local sub-district head. The goal is for the inundation to recede immediately," explained Yohan.
BPBD appealed to the public to remain alert to the potential for tidal flooding, especially in the northern coastal area of Jakarta.
"In an emergency, the public can contact emergency service 112. This service is free and operates 24 hours," he added.
Previously, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) had issued an early warning of the potential for tidal flooding which was expected to take place from April 27 to May 4, 2025.
