Increase Public Awareness Of Cybersecurity, ITSEC Holds Cybersecurity Summit 2025

JAKARTA - Commemorating the 15th anniversary of the year, global cybersecurity company PT ITSEC Asia Tbk will hold a "ITSEC: Cybersecurity Summit 2025", which is expected to increase public awareness of cybersecurity.

President Director of PT ITSEC Asia Tbk, Joseph Edi Hut Lumban Gaol, stated that this event was not just a conference, but a movement to build collective awareness in the midst of an increasingly digitized world.

"The interest is to collaborate, create a collaborative platform for all parties. So there is a safe, resilient, and reliable Indonesian digital space," Joseph said in a press conference on Monday, April 28.

Based on data compiled by ITSEC Asia, Indonesia recorded more than 330 million cyber traffic anomalies in 2024, with 1,814 incident complaints to the National Cyber and Crypto Agency cyber contact center.

This threat not only attacks the economic sector, but also the health, transportation, and public services sectors, shows that the motive for attacks is now moving from an economy to geopolitical.

Seeing the urgency, with the theme "The Largest Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Event in Southeast Asia", this conference is expected to be a forum for inter-industrial collaboration to improve cybersecurity.

"We designed this survey to be a forum for all stakeholders to be able to discuss, share insights, and also build real solutions together. Well, real solutions certainly do not have a static solution, because the development of cybercrime is also dynamic. So what must be made is an agreement in the ecosystem to protect our assets together," he said.

ITSEC: Cybersecurity Summit 2025 will take place on 26-28 August 2025 by presenting various expert speakers in their fields.
