After The Basketball Championship Champion, SMA Jubilee And BPK Cirebon Penabur Will Be Flown To Singapore
JAKARTA - A total of two teams were sent to the Asia-Pacific tournament in Singapore after winning the 2025 High School Basketball Championship at Basketball Court UPH Karawaci, Tangerang Regency.
The champion, namely SMA Jubilee, became the best in the men's category after defeating SMA Negeri 2 Bandung with a position of 81-53. Meanwhile, BPK Penabur Cirebon won the women's category after defeating GPS Hawks 57-34.
As is known, before SMA Jubilee advanced to the final of the 2025 High School Basketball Championship, they managed to beat SMA Negeri 2 Bandung with a position of 64-50 at Field A, Basketball Court UPH Karawaci, Tangerang Regency.
After that, a day later in the same place, they won the second match with a screen of 89-53 when they met UPH College.

In the third match of the group stage, the victory was again secured by Jubilee High School when they met YPPK SMA Agustinus Sorong, Papua, with a score of 94-35.
Then, they escaped the semifinals by beating Kristen High School Trimulia 81-43 on April 25, 2025.
During the decisive match, BPK Penabur showed his dominance over the GPS Hawks with a winning score of 57-34. As a result, they won and managed to continue their journey to Singapore.
Representative of the organizing committee for the High School Basketball Competition, Murni Setionegoro, admitted that she was happy because the tournament was interesting. Especially in this tournament, none of the players were injured.
"This is the first event and it will be completed smoothly without any players being injured," Murni said in her statement, Monday, April 28, 2025.
"This match is also tight and extraordinary. Finally, the children are happy to have the opportunity to participate in high school tournaments throughout Asia Pacific in Singapore on June 24-30, 2025," he said again.
Deputy Secretary General of the Perbasi DPP, Ratana Arya Krishnan, expressed his appreciation for this tournament. He also reminded the players to prepare themselves as well as possible for the next stage.
"I ask for help to stay active in training, all the participants, losing and winning regularly in sports. The opportunity does not come twice, who knows one day will be an achievement," he said.
Meanwhile, MVP in the men's category, Kenneth Leebron, emphasized that he would be more serious about preparing for Singapore. According to him, the opponents to be faced will be more difficult.
"We know that to face matches at the national level, the training is desperately. Especially later in international events," he concluded.
