However, he continued, the profession, especially abroad, is a job that requires extra packaging, because there is still a negative perception of some of our society about this health-related work.
This negative perception, said Deputy Minister Christina, is a challenge for Indonesian migrant worker placement companies (P3MI) to recruit and market spatherapist vacancies for prospective migrant workers abroad. Not to mention the training period which takes quite a long time.
"There are still many prospective migrant workers who want to train instants, even though the therapist professional spa must have knowledge. Starting from the anatomy of the body to the point of blood circulation," he explained.
The time it takes to become a therapist professional spa at the Bali SpaInternational Academy requires 1 year. The theory is given for 6 months and the following 6 months studying practice at hotels that are partners of the institution.
