Offended When He Held A Alcohol Party, A Friend Near A Friend Stabbed To Death On Jalan Enggano Tanjung Priok

JAKARTA A warm atmosphere in a dormitory in the Tanjung Priok area suddenly turned tense. A student with the initials YR alias Acil is suspected of slashing his own colleague, LH, to death after they held a liquor party together.

The tragic incident occurred on Friday, April 18, afternoon on Jalan Enggano, Tanjung Priok Village, North Jakarta. The perpetrator has now been arrested by the North Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim Resmob Unit, and charged with Article 351 Paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code regarding persecution that resulted in the loss of a person's life, with the threat of a sentence of seven years in prison.

"We arrested the perpetrator the next day, Saturday 19 April, at around 09.00 WIB in the same location," said North Jakarta Metro Police Resmob Head, AKP Seno Pradana, Friday, April 25.

From the suspect's hands, the police confiscated evidence in the form of machetes and clothes worn at the time of the incident.

Seno explained that the chronology of the incident began when the perpetrator and the victim, along with two other friends with the initials Z and S, gathered at the dormitory. At that time, YR had just cooked chicken and rice. They eat together, then one of them buys liquor for consumption together.

The alcohol party continued into the afternoon. When the drink ran out, witness S bought a second bottle again, and the chat continued in an alcohol-affected condition.

While talking to S, the suspect was offended by hearing the victim LH as if talking about it unpleasantly, even though they were sitting only about half a meter away. The suspect then asked the victim directly about what he said, but the victim's answer actually made him even more emotional.

Without talking much, YR told two of his colleagues to get out of the room. Only the two of them left, he then took a machete that was stored on the cupboard and immediately attacked LH.

"The suspect slashed the victim three times, hitting his head, hands and shoulders," explained Seno.
