Boarding House in Tanah Abang Raided by Police, Storing Thousands of Illegal Drugs

JAKARTA – The Central Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit has again uncovered the circulation of illegal hard drugs. This time, a man with the initials DS was arrested in a raid in the Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta, with astonishing evidence: 31,900 hard drugs of various brands.

"The perpetrator who was arrested has the initials DS," said the Head of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKBP Roby Heri Saputra, Monday, April 21.

This arrest was made after officers received a public report on Saturday night, April 19 regarding the alleged circulation of hard drugs in the area. Not wanting to waste time, the team immediately moved quickly to conduct an investigation.

As a result, early Sunday morning, April 20 at around 03.00 WIB, a boarding house in Tanah Abang was raided by officers. That's where DS was arrested along with thousands of hard drugs ready for distribution.

"From the location we confiscated 24 packages of Eximer containing around 120 pills, and 3,190 Tramadol plates with a total of 31,900 pills," said Roby.

Currently, DS has been secured at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters to undergo further investigation. The police are also investigating the involvement of other parties in this hard drug distribution network.

AKBP Roby emphasized that his party will not provide space for perpetrators of narcotics and illegal drug crimes. Enforcement will continue to be carried out to protect the public from the threat of abuse of dangerous drugs.

"We are fully committed to eradicating the circulation of illegal drugs in order to maintain order and security in the Central Jakarta area," he said.
