Collaborating With Yandex, Komdigi Creates Free Machine Learning Training For Students And ASN

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital with technology company Yandex, opens free training and online competition Linear Models in Machine Learning: Fundations, Applications, and Competition.

This training is part of the Digital Talent Scholarship Program (DTS) of the Communication and Digital Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Communication and Industry.

"This training is held on the DTS platform and can be followed by digital technology professionals, students, and State Civil Apparatus (ASN)," said Head of BPSDM Ministry of Komdgi Bonifasius Pudjianto in a written statement.

Bonifasius said that this training can be accessed independently, hands-on labs and case studies, making it easier for participants to gain practical experience in building and implementing models using Python and scikit-learnn.

"Including the general challenges of machine learning, model validation techniques, and how to turn business problems into machine learning-based solutions," he said.

Through this collaboration, Boni added, Komdigi wants to equip Indonesia's digital workers with the relevant skills needed by the industry, as well as encourage the vision of national digital transformation.

Meanwhile, Yandex Search International CEO Alexander Popovskiy stated that during the program, participants will get support from local reviewers selected by machine learning partner Yandex in Indonesia.

"Our training advantage lies in a combination of academic approaches and ready-to-use skills in the industry," explained Alexander.

He also emphasized that this training allowed participants to explore science and machine learning data, providing participants with knowledge to build their careers in the field of future technology.
