Bali Prosecutor's Office Confiscates IDR 1 Billion From Head Of DPMPTSP Buleleng

The Bali High Prosecutor's Office confiscated Rp1 billion from the Head of the Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP) of Buleleng Regency I Made Kuta in the case of alleged extortion of permits for the construction of subsidized houses in Buleleng, Bali.

"Today, investigators received and confiscated Rp1 billion in funds which were handed over by the IMK suspect through his family," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the Bali Attorney General's Office, Putu Agus Eka Sabana Putra, Monday, April 14.

Eka explained that the funds were funds that had been received from witnesses as developers for the construction of subsidized houses in Buleleng Regency.

In addition, the Bali Attorney General's Office Special Crime investigators also confiscated Rp4.2 million from an account in the name of one of the witnesses who was used as a holding account by the IMK suspect.

IMK is suspected of violating Article 12 letter e, letter g Juncto Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption which has been amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code jo. Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

Until now, the Bali Attorney General's Special Crime Investigators have examined 33 witnesses and examined the suspect.

"Especially for the Bali High Prosecutor's Office, it continues to be deepened to reveal the parties involved in corrupt practices in the management of the licensing process in this case so that it is hoped that later there will be no more complicated practices and extortion in the licensing process," said Eka Sabana.

Previously, the Bali Attorney General's Office named two suspects in the extortion case of a number of investors in the licensing for the construction of a subsidized house in Buleleng. Two people have been named as suspects, namely I Made Kuta and Ngakan Anom Diana Kesuma as suspects.

NADK is a Functional Officer for Managing Buildings and Settlement Areas for Building Management at the Buleleng PUTR Service.

The suspect NADK is working with the IMK suspect to prepare a technical picture of PBG (Building Approval) as technical staff at the Buleleng Regency PUTR Service with an agreement to distribute the proceeds from the money requested to the developer.

NADK is tasked with taking pictures for the manufacture of PBG. He gets IDR 700 thousand per PBG, while IMK gets a share of IDR 400 per PBG.

In addition, the suspect NADK used someone else's Expert Competency Certificate (SKA) by duplicating using a scanner tool to make a technical study of PBG images. Both are now in temporary detention at the Class IIA Kerobokan Detention Center, Badung Regency, Bali.
