Instagram Feature Updates That Make You Feel Better At Home
JAKARTA - Instagram social media updates the features of the application. Now officially this photo and video sharing application adds a Direct Message (DM) feature for the desktop version.
Quoting Mashable, the application under the auspices of Facebook has tested the DM feature for the desktop version since early 2020. Where previously, the DM feature could only be used to send messages via its smartphone application.
Through its official Twitter account, Instagram announced that everyone around the world can now DM each other on the desktop version. This feature works exactly what the mobile version usually does.

Although Mark Zuckerberg's application has many messaging applications such as WhatsApp, Messenger, some people prefer to communicate via Instagram. The application, which was launched in 2010, allows users to share pictures and videos with friends, family and publicly.
This desktop version of the DM feature also provides various emoticons, GIFs, and many other things that will make chatting fun. However, the biggest advantage that Instagram provides is that it allows users to send messages without any hassle.
DM recipients will get a notification when the sender deletes their message. Interestingly, this feature is also available for desktop users. This feature was also embedded in WhatsApp first.
In fact, Instagram users have long demanded Instagram to immediately launch the DM feature for this web. Because it is claimed that it is more comfortable for users to interact with many followers on the web than on cellphones regarding the screen size.
Of course this feature is good news for influencers, businesses and other public figures who get lots of messages every day. The reason is, many feel uncomfortable replying to more than 100 messages via cell phone every day.
Currently, with the DM feature for the desktop version, it will be easier for users to communicate, thanks to the slider options you get, especially users can also use the mouse pad to operate it.
Even so, you need to be careful when using the desktop version of Instagram, because it could be an opening for cyber crime that is stalking you. Make sure to log out when you're done using it.

Others, Instagram live video broadcasts are now also available to watch on the desktop version. This is the right time, because currently many users, celebrities and business people are taking advantage of this one feature to get closer to their followers. It is said, this new feature is Facebook's effort to provide live broadcast content via the web desktop in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak.
From the looks of it, it's certainly not like the mobile version. Instagram puts the Story and Live features on the right side after the home column. If the user is doing a live broadcast, a "Live" label will appear next to their Instagram account.
When clicking on a user who is doing Live, instead of covering Instagram Live content, various comments that appear on the live broadcast will appear separately on the right.
Not a few claim that this update makes it easier for users to watch other users' live broadcasts, also sends emoji reactions and comments directly with a more relieved look. But strangely, Instagram does not provide further information on how users can go live via the website and add the Story feature.
