KPK Leader Reminds Corruption Cases In Jakarta, Pramono: That's A Record, We're Preparing
JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) did not only discuss corruption prevention in today's meeting. He was also reminded about allegations of corruption within the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov).
This was conveyed by Pramono after meeting the KPK leadership at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. The PDIP politician said that together with his staff, he was met by KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto and his representatives, Johanis Tanak and Agus Joko Pramono.
"Earlier, we were reminded of several old cases that have not been resolved. Of course it is a note and we will also, if the case does not stop, of course the Jakarta government will also prepare itself for it," Pramono told reporters, Monday, March 24.
Pramono did not specify what cases were mentioned by the KPK leadership. However, all of them happened before he took office.
"Because I have become the Governor of DKI Jakarta, it is also my responsibility," he said.

As previously reported, the Secretary General of the KPK, Cahya H. Harefa, said that the leadership had conveyed a number of things in a meeting with the Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, on Monday, March 24. Pramono's arrival was said to ask for supervision and assistance in preventing fraudulent practices.
"Hopefully in the future from the KPK leadership, the synergy with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will continue," Cahya told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
"Earlier, the leadership also reminded several things, including the procurement of goods and services. Then also things that might have happened in other provinces, were also conveyed so that it would not happen in Jakarta," he continued.
In addition, the Jakarta Provincial Government has also asked to optimize the budget. "At the same time, the efficiency of this very large budget," he concluded.
