Encourage The Economy Of Kerkyatan, Bank Mandiri Distributes Rp9.01 Trillion KUR To 77,500 MSMEs Until February 2025
Bank Mandiri continues to show its commitment to supporting the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as the driving force of the national economy. Through the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR), Bank Mandiri seeks to provide wider access to capital for business actors to accelerate capacity and competitiveness.
This step is also in line with the government's program to provide low-interest credit for the MSME, agriculture, and small industry sectors. As a result, the bank codenamed BMRI shares has realized KUR distribution reaching Rp9.01 trillion to more than 77,500 business actors throughout Indonesia until the end of February 2025.
Bank Mandiri Senior Vice President Micro Development & Agent Banking Muhamad Gumilang said the distribution of KUR was equivalent to 23.39 percent of Bank Mandiri's KUR target in 2025 worth IDR 38.5 trillion. By providing access to capital through KUR, Bank Mandiri helps increase the production capacity of MSME players, especially the agricultural and industrial sectors.
"This step is a form of SOE synergy with MSMEs in building an independent and sustainable populist economy. We believe that the support for access to financing for business actors has a crucial role in creating jobs and encouraging inclusive economic growth," said Gumilang in his official statement, Sunday, March 23.
He continued, the distribution of KUR during the first two months of 2025 was still dominated by the production sector with 59.49 percent or Rp5.36 trillion. Of this amount, the agricultural sector as the backbone of national food security was disbursed at Rp2.64 trillion or 29.31 percent, the production service sector absorbed 25.11 percent worth Rp1.90 trillion, the manufacturing sector was 7.71 percent of Rp694 billion, and the fisheries sector was 1.31 percent or Rp117 billion.
In accelerating the distribution of KUR, Bank Mandiri adopted a more inclusive and oriented ecosystem-based approach to strengthening the leading production sector in various regions. Business synergy and strategic collaboration with wholesale customers are part of a closed-loop strategy applied to optimize the value chain, so that MSMEs can develop more rapidly with wider market access.
In addition, as part of a business strategy, Bank Mandiri provides digitalization services for financial transactions to support MSMEs to advance through Livin Merchant with ease of onboarding, flexibility in payment receipts and without subscription fees.
