Netflix Becomes The Most Winner At Oscars 2021, Wins 7 Trophies
JAKARTA - The Netflix streaming service is back in full swing. At the 93rd Academy Awards held on Sunday, April 25th, United States time, they took home seven awards.
The seven awards have made Netflix the studio with the most trophies. Even though it failed to bring in several major awards, Netflix still won many trophies.
It is known that Netflix with 36 nominations is also the most compared to the others.
The winning trophy for Netflix was won by the film Mank with two awards, two Ma Rainey's Black Bottom awards, one My Octopus Teacher award, one Two Distant Strangers award, and one award for If Anything Happens I Love You.
Following Netflix, there is Disney with five wins thanks to Nomadland and Soul. Then Warner Bros. with three awards for Judas and the Black Messiah and Tenet.

Then there is Amazon Studios with two awards for the film Sound of Metal from 12 nominations received. Likewise with Sony Pictures Classics with two awards thanks to The Father.
Netflix's achievements have increased dramatically from the previous year. In 2020, Netflix only managed to win two out of 24 nominations, namely from the film Marriage Story and American Factory.
The success of Netflix also proves that this streaming service has succeeded in producing various quality films in the midst of difficult situations.
