Meet President Prabowo At The Palace, Leader Of Commission I Of The House Of Representatives Admits To Discussing The TNI Bill
JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission I of the DPR Utut Adianto and Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the DPR Budi Djiwandono met President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 19.
This meeting took place ahead of the ratification of the TNI Bill (RUU) through a plenary meeting of the DPR.
When asked further, Utut, who was about to leave through the door of the Palace, admitted that the TNI Bill was one of the discussions with President Prabowo.
"Yes (discussing the TNI Bill), but not only that. He told the concept of ...," said Utut when asked by a number of media crews after meeting President Prabowo, confiscated by Antara.
Utut explained that President Prabowo approved the Draft Law on Amendments to Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the Indonesian National Army (RUU TNI).
He said that the President did not encounter any problems in the revision of the TNI Law. "There is no problem with everything," he said.
When asked to detail the discussion with the President, Utut emphasized that no press conference was held today.
"There is no press conference. So, wait for tomorrow. The problem is that when I talk, it's not good," he added.

Based on the information gathered, Commission I of the DPR RI approved the discussion of the Draft Law (RUU) on Amendments to Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the Indonesian National Army (TNI) at level I to be brought to the next level at the DPR RI Plenary Meeting.
Commission I of the DPR and the government have agreed to bring the revision of the TNI Law to the DPR plenary meeting on Thursday (20/3) to be ratified.
The TNI Bill was approved to be discussed at a plenary meeting after all political party factions in the DPR RI expressed their final opinion on the mini-group. All factions also agreed to the bill to be discussed at a further level.
