Firli Bahuri Twice Revoked The Pretrial Lawsuit Regarding Suspect Status
JAKARTA - Former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri, has again withdrawn his pretrial application regarding his suspect status related to allegations of bribery and gratification. It is recorded that Firli has twice withdrawn the lawsuit.
"We hereby declare that we revoke the pretrial application that we have registered with the South Jakarta District Court on March 12, 2025," said Firli Bahuri's attorney, Ian Iskandar during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, March 19.
The reason for the revocation of the pretrial lawsuit was because it was still things that had to be corrected in the application. Ramadan is said to be one of the other reasons behind the withdrawal of the application.
"That related to our pretrial petition, we can convey because there are still shortcomings and imperfections of the petition. So we will also make improvements and for pretrial a quo which can provide legal benefits," he said.
"That is also one of our reasons for withdrawing this pretrial application because we are currently in the month of Ramadan, the month of blessing, grace and forgiveness," continued Ian.
Hearing the petitioner's decision, it was Judge Tunggal who handled the case, Parulian Manik, who asked for a while to decide and stop the trial.
Not long ago, the trial was resumed. Judge Parulian decided to grant the request for the revocation of the pretrial lawsuit filed by Firli Bahuri's camp.
"Stipulate, grant the petitioner's request regarding the revocation of the case," said Parulian.
"Declaring the pretrial criminal case number 42/Pid.Pra/2025/PN.Jkt.Sel received and registered at the South Jakarta District Court on March 12, 2025, is revoked," he continued.
As a reminder, Firli Bahuri has filed three pretrial lawsuits. In the first pretrial lawsuit, the judge who tried the case decided not to accept it.
