PGN Prepares Natural Gas Supply To Central Java Industrial Estate

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) is exploring the supply of natural gas supply and infrastructure in the Central Java Industrial Estate, Central Java.

Earlier on Monday 17 March, PGN and PT Jawa Tengah Lahan Andalan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the provision of natural gas supply and infrastructure for tenants in the industrial area.

Both parties will coordinate intensively to realize the potential for gas distribution according to industrial needs in Central Java.

"The government targets to increase industrial competitiveness through the utilization of natural gas. PGN is committed to supporting this target by distributing natural gas to Central Java, which in the early stages will use the beyond pipeline mode," said PGN Commercial Director Ratih Esti Prihatini, Tuesday, March 18.

Ratih emphasized that he is optimistic that this cooperation can run smoothly so that the fulfillment of natural gas needs to Central Java can be realized immediately.

"PGN is also trying to provide reliable gas supply to meet industrial needs in the area," he continued.

Ratih said that currently PGN manages integrated natural gas infrastructure in Central Java, which can support gas distribution to Central Java.

Through its subsidiary, PGN will distribute natural gas in the form of CNG and LNG from the nearest station.

In addition, pipeline infrastructure networks are also connected to Cisem 1 and Gresem Pipes, which flow gas supplies from East Java.

In line with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the integration of natural gas infrastructure is expected to provide natural gas to various industrial sectors in Central Java to be more secure and stable.

Integration as one of the steps in optimizing gas potential originating from Jambaran Tiung Biru Field (Work Area/WK Blora), Long Term Plan (LTP) WK Cepu (Cendana Field - Alas Tua) and WK Tuban (Sur-2 Field).

PGN Semarang area serves more than 17,500 customers, including households, MSMEs, commercial, industrial and power plants.

In the Industrial Estate sector, PGN in the semarang area serves KIT Batang and KI Kendal.

After the integration of natural gas pipeline infrastructure, natural gas distribution in the Central Java area ranges from 60-70 BBTUD with supply supply from Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB) and Kepodang.

In the Semarang area also has SPBG Kaligawe, SPBG Penggaron, and SPBG Mangkang to supply CNG.
