Hiu Kencana Soldiers Have Fallen, West Sumatra Deputy Governor Invites The Prayer Mosque Congregation For KRI Nanggala 402

JAKARTA - The Deputy Governor of West Sumatra together with the Ramadhan Safari Team invited the congregation of Nurul Iman Mosque Ujung Tanah Jorong Pandan Mardani Nagari Manggopoh Agam to pray for the death of 53 of the best National Army (TNI) soldiers in KRI Nanggala 402.

"We invite all of us to bow our heads for half a minute to give sincerity to be together- The same praying for the 53 best soldiers of the Navy, the sons of the Indonesian Nation for the crew of the KRI Nanggala-402 submarine," he said as quoted by Antara, Monday, April 26.

The sincere prayer was also attended by the Commander of the Indonesian Navy Main Base (Danlantamal) II First Admiral Hargianto who participated in the West Sumatra Provincial Government Safari Team led by the Deputy Governor, said a press release on Monday.

According to him, the soldier in the task of protecting the sovereignty of the nation was a martyr. "Hopefully the families left behind are strong in accepting the disaster," he said.

Meanwhile, First Admiral Hargianto on behalf of the Navy expressed his gratitude for the prayers given by the congregation. He believes that the support of prayers from all components of the nation will give strength to the family.

Previously there had been a search process since contact lost on Wednesday, April 21, the Commander of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto said 53 crew members of the KRI Nanggala-402 ship had died in their duties.

"With deep sadness as the TNI Commander, I declare that 53 personnel at KRI Nanggala-402 have died. The best soldiers of the Hiu Kencana have died while carrying out their duties in the waters of northern Bali," he said at a press conference on Sunday, 26. April.

On that occasion, First Admiral Hargianto also conveyed that the Indonesian Navy opened for personnel admission in 2021 by online registration. Online registration is open from April 12 to May 7, 2021.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the recruitment of soldiers must still be carried out but a breakthrough is needed by carrying out recruitment based on health protocol procedures.

"COVID-19 is not an excuse for not being able to seek young generations of Indonesians who are qualified to join the Indonesian Navy through the admissions pathway for officers, non-commissioned officers, Tamtama and Indonesian Navy civil servants," he said.

He invited the sons and daughters of West Sumatra to participate in the selection for admission to the Indonesian Navy because West Sumatra's sons and daughters had also contributed a lot in leadership in the Indonesian Navy so far.

Safari Ramadhan is one of the West Sumatra Provincial Government's programs to capture people's aspirations directly in the month of Ramadan.

The aspirations will be conveyed to parties according to their authority.

In the Ramadhan Safari, the Chairman of the Nurul Iman Mosque Management Masri Sutan Mudo conveyed the aspirations of the community Nagari Manggopoh which currently requires the construction of nets n asphalt which is about two kilometers long to the location of the mosque.

Then also the construction of the existing bridge as a suggestion for smooth transportation in bringing the community's agricultural products.

"If the road is good, the bridge is good and the construction of the Nurul Iman mosque will be completed soon, of course, the congregation will be busy worshiping in prospering the mosque. This is in realizing the welfare of the community," he said.

On this occasion, the Safari Ramadhan Team Deputy Governor Audy Joinaldy handed over assistance for the construction of a mosque amounting to Rp20 million and 100 pieces of sarong and also spontaneous assistance from Danlantamal II Padang in the form of 200 US dollars.
