Solskjaer Disappointed His Players Wasted Opportunities At Leeds Home

JAKARTA - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer highlighted the decisions of his players when Manchester United only won a 0-0 draw at Leeds headquarters in the Premier League at Elland Road, last Sunday.

The zero score is quite surprising considering the first meeting of the two teams this season ended with a score of 6-2 to win MU.

"This proves there are no guarantees in football. I think we performed well and dominated in the second half," said Solskjaer.

"We didn't give them many opportunities, we had some good opportunities, but unfortunately we couldn't take them," he added.

Solskjaer assessed that his players were actually able to play well to try to penetrate the Leeds defense, but when they entered the penalty box the opponent's greatness seemed to disappear.

"I thought we were good until the final 18 meters. But there it all ended and the quality of our decision-making in the decisive moments was very disappointing," he said.

"I think we have some good opportunities from Bruno Fernandes and Daniel James, apart from that as we talked about before the match there will be a lot of efforts from the opponents because the Leeds players are very good at escorting their opponents," said Solskjaer.

The draw made MU, who was in second place, could only add to their collection to 66 points, or 11 points behind Manchester City who occupied the top.

United will next host fierce rivals, Liverpool, at Old Trafford on Sunday, May 2, but three days earlier will face AS Roma in the same venue for the first leg of the Europa League semi-final.
