Holding Control, City Government Reveals 24 Houses In Bandarlampung Standing On The River
LAMPUNG - The Bandarlampung City Government (Pemkot) said that so far it has recorded 24 houses that violated it because they were standing on the river.
"Since last week, the city government has started efforts to control buildings on rivers or rivers, which hinder the flow of water. From temporary data, there are around 24 units of buildings above the river," said Head of the Bandarlampung City Building Control Task Force Anthoni Irawan in Bandarlampung, Tuesday, March 11, which was confiscated by Antara.
He also said that to this day the control of buildings has been carried out in Teluk Betung Selatan, Sukarame and Tanjung Senang sub-districts.
"Overall, this effort has covered 11 sub-districts. The goal is to educate, provide understanding, and control buildings, which contribute to flooding in the area," he said.

In an effort to curb buildings on the river, he said, a number of residents in several areas were cooperative and independently dismantled their buildings.
"However, in several locations the city government through the Public Works Service (Public Works) also helped clean up with heavy equipment, considering that several buildings are quite large and have been established for a long time," he said.
He also said that the Bandarlampung City Government was grateful for the cooperation of the community who had supported this program.
"Hopefully this step can have a positive impact on Bandar Lampung City and create a safer and more organized environment," he said.
