Minister Of Religion Nasaruddin Umar Predicts Eid 2025 To Fall On March 31
Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar said the month of Ramadan will last for 30 days. Thus, Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri is predicted to fall on March 31, 2025.
The statement was conveyed by the Minister of Religion after attending the 2025 Ketupat Operations Sectoral Coordination Meeting which took place at the Mutiara STIK Auditorium, South Jakarta.
"The holy month of Ramadan will be 30 days, meaning that our Eid is predicted on 31, Monday. March 31, 2025," Nasaruddin told reporters, Monday, March 10.
This prediction is of course based on the results of the monitoring of the hilal that has been carried out. However, the government will determine for certainty through an isbat trial.
It is hoped that the Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri which is set by the government will be together with Muhammadiyah who have previously predicted Eid al-Fitr 2025 to take place on March 31
"So yesterday we fasted together and God willing, we hope for Eid together," said Nasaruddin.
For information, the Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting was attended by a number of ministers, namely Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan; Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno; Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar; Minister of Trade Budi Santoso; Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo; Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana; and Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi.
