Inauguration Of The Head And Deputy Head Of The IKN Authority In Today's Memory, March 10, 2022

JAKARTA Memories today, three years ago, March 10, 2022, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated Bambang Susantono and Dhony Rahajoe as the Head and Deputy Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (IKN). The inauguration was carried out as a form of the Jokowi government's seriousness in building IKN.

Previously, President Jokowi considered Jakarta to have too many problems as the capital city of Indonesia. The problem is piled up. Floods, traffic jams, pollution, and inflated spatial planning. The option of moving the capital city to Kalimantan is an option.

Jakarta's popularity as the capital city of Indonesia is indeed famous. Many historical events of the Indonesian nation occurred in Jakarta, from the Youth Pledge to the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence. Recently, Jakarta has been increasingly felt happy.

Its residents who have a lot of problems arise to the surface: traffic jams, floods, pollution, and inflated spatial planning. The Indonesian government has limited space for movement. It also adds more buildings that can no longer be done.

Jokowi emphasized that many countries in the world have the same problems as Indonesia. Existing countries are starting to anticipate the development of their country to become large. Take for example Malaysia to Brazil.

President Jokowi took a stand. He tried to inflame the relocation of the capital city outside Java Island. Jokowi also confirmed the choice of choosing the North Panajam Paser, East Kalimantan as a new location.

A place that in fact has a wide space to create a modern and futuristic capital city. The government also agreed to call the city IKN. Jokowi also asked for blessings from all Indonesian people so that IKN development could run smoothly from August 16, 2019.

"On this historic occasion. By asking for the pleasure of Allah SWT, by asking for permission and support from the honorable Council Member, elders and national figures, especially from all Indonesian people, I hereby ask for permission to move our nation's capital city to Kalimantan Island".

"The new capital city is designed not only as a symbol of identity, but a representation of the nation's progress, by carrying out modern, smart, andgreen city concepts, using new and renewable energy, not depending on fossil energy," Jokowi said in his state speech at the Parliament Building as quoted by Kompas.com, August 16, 2019.

Jokowi's journey to build IKN continues. The government continues to think about keeping development going. As a form of seriousness, Jokowi immediately determines the Head and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority. A regional head figure whose position is at the ministerial level.

Jokowi then inaugurated Bambang Susantono and Dhony Rahajoe as the Head and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority on March 10, 2022. The inauguration took place at the State Palace in Jakarta. Bambang and Dhony are not new people in the map of Indonesia's progress.

Bambang was the Deputy Minister of Transportation for the 2010-2014 era. Meanwhile, Dhony himself had served as Managing Director of the Sinar Mas Land President Office.

Both are expected to be able to build IKN as a city that is able to reflect on Indonesia in the future. They hope that the assignment is fully supported by all Indonesian people. The goal is that development can run smoothly. A city that was built for all.
