Samsung Finally Released Android 15 For Galaxy In April, Almost 6 Months Late
JAKARTA - After experiencing many delays, Samsung has finally set a release date for the Android 15 update with One UI 7. While Google first released Android 15 in September 2024, and since then this update has been available for devices such as Google Pixel, OnePlus, and others.
Usually, Samsung is fast enough to adopt the latest Android operating system, with a 1-3 month lag for previous generation Galaxy devices. In comparison, Samsung released Android 14 on October 30, 2023, less than a month after its first release on Google Pixel.
However, this year the situation is different. Samsung experienced a significant delay in bringing Android 15 to its users.
The first Beta for the Galaxy S24 was only available in December 2024, and the beta program expanded to more devices just moments ago. Even though Samsung has launched One UI 7 in the Galaxy S25 series and some of the latest Galaxy A devices, the company remains silent about a wider launch schedule. Now, finally there is certainty.

In a blog post, Samsung confirmed that One UI 7 with Android 15 will be available to older Galaxy devices starting April more than six months since the initial launch of Android 15.
"The official One UI 7 update will be available from April," Samsung wrote in its announcement.
As a big update, it's no surprise that One UI 7 is in delay, but this nearly six-month gap is disappointing for many users.
