Tom Lembong Sugar Corruption Initial Session Held Tomorrow
JAKARTA - Former Minister of Trade, Thomas Trikasih Lembong (TTL) or Tom Lembong, will undergo his first trial in the alleged corruption case of sugar importation at the Ministry of Trade for the 2015'2016 period.
Based on the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP) of the Central Jakarta District Court, the Tom Lembong case registered with number 34/Pid.Sus TPK/2025/PN.Jkt.Pst will begin trial on Thursday, March 6.
"The first trial, Thursday, March 6, 2025," was written on the SIPP website of the Central Jakarta District Court, quoted on Wednesday, March 5.
The plan is that the inaugural trial with the defendant Tom Lembong will be held in Mohammad Hatta Ali's room at around 09.00 WIB.
In addition, based on information on the trial of the case, it will be led by the Chief Justice Dennie Arsan Fatika and two members of the assembly, namely Purwanto S Abdullah and Ali Muhtarom.
The AGO named 11 suspects in the case. Two of them are Tom Lembong as Minister of Trade for the 2015'2016 period and Charles Sitorus (CS) as Director of Business Development of PT PPI.
Investigators assess that both of them have illegally imported sugar at the 2015-2016 Ministry of Trade.
Meanwhile, for the other suspects, President Director of PT Kebun Tebu Mas Ali Sandjaja Boedidarmo (ASB); President Director of PT Duta Sugar International, Hendrogianto Antonio Tiwon; and Tonny Wijaya NG (TW) as President Director of PT Angels Products (PT AP) for the 2015-2016 period.
Hansen Setiawan (HS) as President Director of PT Sentra Usahatama Jaya peroide 2016; and Indra Suryaningrat (IS) as President Director of PT Medan Sugar Industry (PT MSI) for the 2016 period;
Then, Then Surianto Eka Prasetyo (TSEP) as the President Director of PT Makassar Tene (PT MT) for the 2016 period; and Wisnu Hendraningrat (WN) as President Director of PT Andalan Furnindo for the 2011-2024 period.
