Mbak Ita's Husband's Staff Was Worked On By The KPK Today Regarding Allegations Of Corruption At The Semarang City Government

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned three witnesses regarding the alleged corruption that ensnared former Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu or Mbak Ita and her husband, Alwin Basri who is also the Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java Provincial Government DPRD today, Wednesday, March 5. One of them is Akhmad Triyono as Alwin's staff.

"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, March 5.

Apart from Akhmad, investigators also summoned Eko Setyowati Redjeki who is an entrepreneur and Sri Haryanto as the Head of the Semarang City PKK Working Group. "The KPK has scheduled an examination related to alleged corruption in the Semarang City government," said Tessa.

Tessa has not detailed the examination material for the three witnesses. However, investigators suspect they know the actions of Mbak Ita and her husband.

As previously reported, the KPK has detained the Mayor of Semarang Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu or Mbak Ita and her husband, Alwin Basri who is also the Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java Provincial DPRD on Wednesday, February 20. There are three cases handled by the anti-corruption commission, namely related to the alleged corruption in the project for the procurement of an SD fabrication seat at the Semarang City Education Office.

Regarding this procurement, Mbak Ita and her husband pocketed IDR 1.7 billion. The couple also earned IDR 2 billion from arranging the direct appointment project at the sub-district level.

Finally, Mbak Ita and Alwin pocketed IDR 2.4 billion from the request for money from the Semarang City Bapenda. So that if the total of the two pocketed money of around IDR 6 billion.

As for this case, the KPK has actually named two other suspects. They are Martono who is the Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gapensi) of Semarang City and Rachmat Djangkar as the private party who had already been detained.
