The Government Ensures That The Stock Of Chicken And Eggs Is Safe Until Eid 2025

Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs (Menko Pangan) Zulkifli Hasan ensures that the stock of chicken and eggs is in a safe condition until Eid al-Fitr or Eid Al-Fitr 2025.

The man who is familiarly called Zulhas also asked the public not to worry about the stock of chicken and eggs.

"Everything has been agreed and ready for the fasting month and Eid, stock of chickens and eggs. So don't worry, the stock is more than sufficient, yes, broiler and eggs," he said at a press conference at the Ministry of Trade, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 4.

Zulhas revealed that the supply of chickens at the time of Ramadan will also be doubled.

He also guaranteed that the price would not exceed the Purchase Reference Price (HAP).

Furthermore, Zulhas said that his party had also asked entrepreneurs directly so that no one would sell chickens above HAP of IDR 40,000 per kilogram (kg).

For example, said Zulhas, the company PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk which sells IDR 34,000 per kg.

Then, PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk which priced at a similar price.

"We asked that earlier not be more than HAP, the chicken was Rp. 40,000 per kg, right? Even now the Pokphand is still Rp. 34,000 per kg, from Japfa it is also Rp. 34,000 per kg," he said.

Even so, Zulhas admitted that there are several areas where the price of chickens is close to HAP, such as in Maluku and Sulawesi. He said it was due to distribution problems.

"But the others are Rp. 36,000 per kg. Indeed, there are some far away. Like in Sulawesi, Maluku, some are Rp. 39,000 per kg. Some are even Rp. 40,000 per kg, because they are far away. But Bali, Java, Sumatra, South Sulawesi are still below HAP on average," he said.
