Already Check 60 People, Attorney General's Office Names 5 Suspects Of Corruption In SDA For Palm Oil Musi Rawas, South Sumatra
The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has named five suspects in the case of corruption in natural resources (SDA) in the form of oil palm land in Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra.
The five suspects are the Regent of Musi Rawas for the period 2005-2015 initials RM, the Director of PT DAM in 2010 initials ES, the Head of the Investment and Integrated Service Agency for Indigenous Integrated Services (BPMPTP) Musi Rawas for the period 2008-2013 initials SAI, the Secretary of BPMPTP 2008-2011 initials AM and the head of Mulyoharjo 2010-2016 initials BA.
Previously, the suspects RM ES, SAI, and AM had been examined as witnesses and based on the results of the examination, it was concluded that there was sufficient evidence stating that the suspect was involved in the case.
"Today, the status of all witnesses has been increased to become suspects, while BA suspects are routinely summoned three times, but the person concerned is not present without valid reasons," said Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of the South Sumatra Attorney General's Office Umaryadi in South Sumatra, Tuesday, March 4, as reported by Antara.
He said the suspect's actions violated the primary article 2 paragraph 1 of Law Number 31 of 99 concerning the eradication of corruption.
Subsidies to Article 3j of Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 99 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption.
"Currently, the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office has confiscated 5,974 hectares of oil palm land and then Rp61 billion in cash," he said.
He added that the modus operandi carried out by the suspects was to jointly issue permits and control and use of state land without rights and against the law covering an area of 5,974 hectares which was used for PT Dam's palm oil plants.
Of the 5,974 hectare state land that was successfully controlled, it consisted of a production forest area and transmigration land.

The investigation team for the special criminal act of the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office will continue to investigate cases related to the involvement of other parties who can be held criminally responsible and will immediately take legal action in connection with the investigation in question.
"The witnesses who have been examined in this case are 60 people," he said.
Attorney for one of the suspects AM and SAI Darmadi Jufri said his client was involved in the administration.
The steps taken in the future will take his party to take legal action.
