Matter Mos Dedicates Single Titled Subjud To Accompany Reflection During Ramadan

JAKARTA - Rapper Matter Mos issued a single titled 'Sujud'. The song, which involved Teddy Adithya as a collaborator, was introduced to welcome the holy month of Ramadan.

Single 'Sujud' tells of an in-depth conversation with the Khalik. This song highlights his awareness of praying as another form of judging that helps his life.

"When I started praying diligently and chatting a lot with the closest people, I realized that I couldn't beg anyone anymore, other than to God," said Matter Mos, explaining the inspiration for the song through a press release to VOI, Friday, February 28.

"The position of prostration is very poetic, because you are really vulnerable and vulnerable in that position. You can only surrender and chat with the Almighty," he continued.

The process of writing songs to recordings is fast. With the help of Greybox as producer, Matter Mos starts from making beats to mixing and mastering.

Unlike the previous single, Talisman, this song was born so smoothly without significant obstacles.

"Actually, this song was seven minutes away, but in the end I decided to cut it until it was only four minutes," said Matter Mos.

When writing the lyrics, Matter Mos admitted that he immediately thought of the figure of Teddy Adhitya as a collaborator. With a song that raises sensitive and personal themes, Teddy welcomed Matter Mos' invitation to sing religious songs.

"The lyrics of all the me that wrote, and I feel really happy because Teddy is quite kind and wise to also want to accept my lyrics, for him to sing. For the recording process, already, there is no need to doubt a Teddy," said the rapper.

Furthermore, the single title makes Matter Mos feel very lucky, because he can express his relationship with God through the music medium.

Matter Mos interprets Ramadan as a month to train self-discipline and control in front of God, and his latest song is expected to accompany the moments of reflection in the holy month.
