In Australia, BYD Sealion 7 Ordered Up To 1,000 Units
JAKARTA - Recently, BYD strengthened its position in the Australian market by pocketing around 1,000 orders for Sealion 7 over two weeks since the booking period opened.
Launching from Australian Drive media, Thursday, February 27, these results exceed the achievement of rivals, Tesla, which received sales of Model Y and Model 3 with a total of 739 units, has been sent to customers.
Although this note is somewhat impressive, Sealion 7 cannot be registered as the best-selling electric vehicle in the country's market. This is because these results can be included if you have delivered all the cars in one calendar month.
However, it is hoped that the delivery of Sealion 7 will be carried out soon. This car will be exhibited at the Melbourne Motor Show 2025 which will take place from 5-6 April.
According to EVD Direct Chairman & Managing Director, Luke Todd said the model has succeeded in influencing customers to buy EVs almost double the price.
"This vehicle proves that world-class performance and sophistication do not have to be priced at a luxury price," said Todd.

"We calculate that SPK Sealion 7 contributes 50 percent of BYD's total sales at IIMS 2025 and we are quite satisfied with that," said Head of Public Relations & Government Relations of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Luther T. Pandaitan.
Unfortunately, the company has not disclosed the exact number of BYD's achievements at IIMS 2025. However, Luther made sure the score during the exhibition was positive.
