Accident In Semarang: Minibus Kindergarten Hit By Truck, Residents Stop Driver
SEMARANG - A minibus carrying a number of kindergarten students and teachers was hit by a box truck in the derivative of Silayur, Ngaliyan, Semarang City, Central Java, Wednesday, February 25.
The Traffic Head of the Ngaliyan Police, AKP Sujid Riyanto, said that there were no fatalities in the accident, but the condition of the white Mitsubishi L300 minibus appeared to be damaged on the front and rear.
Sujid explained that the two vehicles involved in the accident both drove from south to north. The minibus carrying the kindergarten student was hit from behind by a box truck on Jalan Prof. Hamka, which has a declining contour.
As a result of the collision, the minibus suffered damage to the front and back and had changed lanes. "Still under investigation whether the accident occurred due to a malfunctioning truck brake or a driver who lacked concentration," said Sujid, quoted by ANTARA.

Based on the information gathered, the minibus carried dozens of kindergarten students and teachers. No one died in the incident, but one student and a teacher had to receive treatment at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the truck that hit the minibus had continued to drive before being chased and stopped by residents.
