Pupuk Kaltim Reveals Realization Of Pupuk Capai Production 952,000 Tons Until February 2025

JAKARTA PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) said that in order to support national food security and ensure the availability of fertilizers for farmers, until February 2025 the realization of fertilizer production has reached 952 thousand tons.

Vice President of Corporate Communications of Pupuk Kaltim, Anggono Wijaya, said that there were 516,427 tons of urea fertilizer, 39,469 tons of NPK fertilizer, and 396,904 tons of ammonia fertilizer.

Anggono added that until February 20, 2025, 161,725 tons of subsidized fertilizer had been distributed, with details of urea fertilizers of 117,429 tons of Urea fertilizer, 37,056 tons of NPK Phonska fertilizer, and 7,240 tons of Special Formula NPK fertilizer.

"So on average, if the urea was 10.3 percent of the annual allocation, then Phonska, NPK Phonska is 10 percent, then this special Formula NPK is 5 percent. Make the whole," Anggono told reporters at PT Pupuk Kaltim's Swing and Connect event, quoted Monday, February 24.

Anggono conveyed that from the allocation of national subsidy fertilizers of 9.55 million tons for 2025, Pupuk Kaltim received an assignment of 1,139,021 tons of Urea, 370,742 tons of NPK Phonska and 147,798 tons of NPK Kakao.

According to him as of February 20, 2025, Pupuk Kaltim has prepared a subsidized fertilizer stock of 265,009 tons consisting of 213,398 tons Urea subsidies, 32,195 tons of NPK Phonska and 19,416 tons of NPK Kakao.

Meanwhile, Anggono said with a production capacity of 3,430,000 tons per year for urea and 300,000 tons per year for the NPK, Pupuk Kaltim targets fertilizer production of 6,425,000 tons by 2025.

Anggono said the target consisted of 3,430,000 tons of Urea fertilizer, 285,000 tons of NPK fertilizer and 2,710,000 tons of Amongia.

"This is for overall Pupuk production, yes. We total it. So if the total means a combination of urea, NPK tonnage, and ammonia, yes," he said.

Anggono said that he was optimistic that he could distribute the products to areas that were his responsibility, namely all of Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Nusa Tenggara. Meanwhile, for the Special Formula NPK, Pupuk Kaltim is responsible throughout Indonesia.

"We are also committed to overseeing distribution and ensuring the ease of accessing fertilizer for farmers so that the national food self-sufficiency target can be achieved," he said.
