Ari Bias Questions Newly Appearing Agnez Mo After Court Decision

Attorney Ari Bias, Minola Sebayang, regretted that Agnez Mo appeared to the public after the Central Jakarta Commercial Court issued a decision that granted part of Ari Bias's lawsuit.

As is known, the verdict in the first instance court, sentenced Agnez for copyright infringement, and imposed a loss fine of IDR 1.5 billion.

More than two weeks after the verdict, Agnez finally spoke openly on Deddy Corbuzier's Close The Door podcast. The 38-year-old singer presented her argument and questioned the judge's decision.

For what Agnez did, Minola regretted Agnez for not conveying all her arguments in court.

"We must not lose confidence in the neutrality and ability of the court in deciding this case. That's why I always say, don't move the fight from the judiciary to leave the judiciary. If there is evidence, there is a place when the trial takes place," Minola told the media crew in Kuningan, South Jakarta recently.

"If he disagrees, he can freely express his opinions in the trial. It's impossible for him to appoint an incompetent person in this case, he must have appointed a lawyer who he believes in, the lawyer has the ability to defend his rights," Minola continued.

Ari Bias's attorney continued, Agnez's side had submitted his argument in the trial, but the panel of judges rejected it. He appreciated Agnez's efforts to appeal to the Supreme Court, but not by arguing outside the court.

"If we don't agree, it's up to the Supreme Court, not then it's crowded. Because if we bring this into social media, news, this has no end, there is chaos, everyone has opinions. But their opinion is right or not? Who knows, because of the subjectivity," he said.

"But if it's a court, the judges have no interest. He sees this case must be with objectivity. Who argued that something was obliged to prove the argument, if this person could not gain, he refused," said Minola.
