The Official Travel Budget To Overseas Of The DKI DPRD Is Cut To IDR 23 Billion

JAKARTA - The Secretariat of the DKI Jakarta DPRD has made efficiency in the budget for official travel abroad in the 2025 APBD to 50 percent. The DKI Jakarta DPRD official travel budget to abroad was cut to Rp23 billion.

This follows up on President Prabowo Subianto's order which was followed up through the DKI Jakarta Governor's Instruction Number 2 of 2025 concerning Efficiency and Expenditure Adjustments for Fiscal Year 2025.

"With a budget of Rp46 billion, the overseas official travel budget for leaders and council members, we will cut it in half. We will efficiency Rp23 billion for overseas," said Acting Secretary of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Augustinus at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, February 19.

So, this year, 106 council members can only make work visits abroad once, from the previous two times a year.

Augustinus admitted that his party was still holding follow-up meetings with the DKI Jakarta Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) to determine a number of other budget items that were affected by efficiency.

"Maybe there are no more meetings with TAPD for how much the budget must be efficiency, especially at the DPRD Secretariat. This is still in process," said Augustinus.

What is clear, Augustinus stated that budget efficiency does not result in a reduction in the number of experts to employees of other individual service providers (PJLP) who work within the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"In us, there is no reduction for honorarium for experts or PJLP. We are indeed required to reduce official travel at home and abroad by 50 percent," he explained.

The DKI Provincial Government is known to be conducting a budget sweep from the 2025 DKI Regional Budget in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's orders through Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2025. The nominal budget projected to be streamlined has been marked.

"We have marked it in all areas, with a value of Rp. 1.548 trillion," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) Michael Rolandi at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, February 17.

Michael said that the budget adjustment at activity posts that were streamlined this year would be executed in the draft amendment to the APBD for the 2025 fiscal year. The DKI Provincial Government targets the preparation of APBD changes to be accelerated from the usual schedule.

"As stated, there is a SE related to the acceleration of the RKPD (regional work plan) for the adjustment of the revised APBD," said Michael.
