Pamit As Minister Of Education And Technology, Satryo Soemantri: My Efforts Are Not In Accordance With Government Expectations

JAKARTA - Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro conveyed his resignation from the position of Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mendiktisaintek).

"I just went to the State Secretariat to submit my resignation letter as Minister of Education and Technology," said Satryo when met by reporters at the Ministry of Education and Technology office, Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, February 19.

Satryo revealed that the reason he resigned was because his efforts over the past four months were not in line with the expectations of the Government of Indonesia.

"Because it may not be in line with expectations from the government, yes I would rather resign than be dismissed," said Satryo.

Satryo said the letter had been written since Tuesday night to be submitted to the Ministry of State Secretariat, and then submitted to President Prabowo Subianto.

"Good work, no strings attached, I sincerely work. If it doesn't fit, then I'll just step back better," said Satryo.

As for the replacement candidates later, Satryo did not expect or leave a message because each head had their own vision and mission.
