The CPMI Skill Upgrade Is One Of The Minister Of Karding's PR Fulfills 1.3 Million Requests For Work Abroad

JAKARTA - Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Minister (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding revealed, there are 1.3 million job requests from several countries for workers in Indonesia.

Unfortunately, of this amount, only 297 thousand Indonesian workers can fulfill it.

"This means that there are still 1 million requests that we do not fulfill. Actually, the hashtag #kaburajadulu was able to fill this out. So actually we don't have a job, we just haven't filled it yet," said Karding during his speech at the signing of the memorandum of understanding or MOU of the Ministry of P2MI, Ministry of SOEs, Ministry of Human Rights, Garuda Indonesia, and Room of Entrepeneur Indonesia, Jakarta, South, Wednesday (19/2/2025).

KemenP2MI has not been able to maximize job demand from several countries because it is constrained by several things. One of them, continued Minister Karding, is related to the skills of prospective migrant workers who want to be recruited.

"This is also a big homework because it's not only a matter of placing it, but we also have the determination to improve our skills," said Minister Karding.

Therefore, Minister Karding will cooperate with government and private institutions to upgrade the skills of prospective migrant workers to meet the delivery quota target of 425 thousand workers every year.

"Therefore, like it or not, we have to prepare massive training. How? We must work together with all institutions, both private and public and to achieve these options," said Minister Karding.

"On the one hand, we are targeting the delivery of 425 thousand jobs in the following year, which was previously 297 thousand, so there are almost 200 thousand increases," said Minister Karding.
