Hasto Kubu Report Rossa Purbo To The KPK Council: Ugal Investigators Please Take Action!

JAKARTA - The legal team of the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto reported Rossa Purbo Bekti to the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The investigator is considered to have committed arbitrarily in handling the bribery case for the management of interim replacement (PAW) members of the DPR RI and the obstruction of the investigation.

"In order to provide fair law enforcement against suspected SOP violations committed by KPK investigators. So we reported Rossa Purbo Bekti's brother," said Johanes Tobing as a member of Hasto's legal team, Wednesday, February 19.

Johanes accused Rosa of several arbitrary acts in carrying out her duties. Among them, they deceived Kusnadi, who is a Hasto staff member and confiscated him.

"This examination of Kusnadi has never shown a letter from the KPK investigator," he said.

"Well, the entire series carried out by KPK investigators that we reported today to the Council," continued Johanes.

He hopes that the report made will be followed up by the KPK Council. This is because they claim that the two reports that have been made against Rossa are unclear in the end.

"I understand very well that no one is above the law in this country, but if they meet with reckless, unprofessional KPK investigators, please take action," he said.

"We ask that this is the third letter, we hope that the leadership of the KPK Council will check our letter and call the people we have reported this," explained the lawyer.

Previously reported, the KPK developed an interim replacement bribery (PAW) case that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku. Two people were later named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.

Hasto is also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.

In the course of investigating this case, Hasto said that the PDIP legal team would report Rossa Purbo Bekti to the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas). He is suspected of committing a violation by intimidating the former convict Agustiani Tio Fridelina who was also investigated.

"On Wednesday, February 19, 2025 tomorrow, the PDI-P legal team will complain to the KPK supervisory board for acts of ethical violations and mishandling that have been committed," said Hasto at the PDIP DPP office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18.

Hasto emphasized that this complaint to the KPK Council was not made against the anti-corruption agency. On the other hand, PDIP wants to keep the KPK from returning to its main mission.

"We believe that the KPK Council will act fairly and have full sovereignty without intervention from any party to dare to examine Rossa's brother, who in fact has intimidated and enforced the law that violates the law," said Hasto.
