Prabowo Reminds Food Hygiene Standards In Free Nutrition Eating Programs

President Prabowo Subianto gave a number of directions to undergraduates driving the development of Indonesia (SPPI) spread across various regions via video conference connection from his office at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta.

The Press, Information and Media Bureau (BPMI) of the Presidential Secretariat in its official broadcast received in Jakarta, Wednesday, said that the President reminded several potential irregularities in kitchen management that provide food for free nutritious food programs (MBG).

"Shopping of ingredients, monitor! I ask that cooking oil must also be clean. The kitchen games will always be used for cooking oil 5, 6, 10 times to black. I emphasize this," said the President, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, February 19.

The President also emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen, from the cooking process to food served to students, students, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers.

He asked the driving scholars who were tasked with managing the MBG kitchen to maintain transparency so that the benefits of the program actually reached the community.

"I really entrust it. Take care of the good implementation. Every peser, every cent, every rupiah you have to take care of. This is for the food of Indonesian children and pregnant women. This is for the future of Indonesia," said Prabowo.

In his directive, the President also mentioned the target number of recipients to eat nutritiously free by the end of 2025.

"We already have 570 SPPGs. So, our kitchen unit, our management unit is already 570, and there are already 1,469,651 beneficiaries. We want later later this year 82.9 million will experience MBG. It can't be done instantly, so many expect it, but this is according to our ability, "said Prabowo.

A bachelor who drives Indonesia's development (SPPI) is a government program to recruit undergraduate, D4, and Master's degree graduates to contribute to priority programs, especially free nutritious meals.

This program provides an opportunity for those who pass the selection to work as heads of the nutritional fulfillment service unit (SPPG), which is responsible for the operation of public kitchens in providing free nutritious meals in various regions.

In their respective assignments, the driving scholars are under the coordination of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
